Dr. John Hilinski, a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon in San Diego, CA, is announcing the launch of a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free plastic surgery procedures for children 6-18 years old. The Hilinski Foundation for Surgery will provide surgical procedures such as nose reconstruction, ear pinning, scar revision, facial reconstruction and more for socially and economically disadvantaged children in San Diego County.
San Diego facial plastic surgeon Dr. John Hilinski is announcing the establishment of a non-profit organization dedicated to providing plastic surgery for children in need. The Hilinski Foundation for Surgery will give children aged 6-18 that meet certain social and economic criteria the ability to undergo a range of procedures to improve their lives, whether they are in need of nose surgery, scar revision, or any other facial plastic surgery procedure.
Supporting the San Diego community was especially important to Dr. Hilinski: “My wife and I are very excited about the future of The Hilinski Foundation and the families that will benefit from our efforts. For years we have dreamed about doing something like this to give back to the communities where we both grew up.”
Charitable missions have been a part of Dr. Hilinski’s practice from the start. However, he adds that the ability to provide safe and effective treatment with regularity satisfies his ultimate goal. “With our own ambulatory surgery center, we now have the ability to commit to this type of charitable work on an ongoing basis. We are also fortunate enough to have a wonderful, collaborative team of surgical and nursing specialists that have joined the foundation who are just as committed to the mission. We can’t wait to get started.”
About Dr. Hilinski
Dr. John Hilinski earned his medical degree from Harvard University. He then completed his general surgery residency and a Head and Neck Surgery residency at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center. After being chosen for a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship, he served as a Clinical Instructor in the same division at the University of Illinois, Chicago College of Medicine, where he learned to perform the latest advancements in facial plastic surgery and procedures such as rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. Dr. Hilinski is double board-certified, and is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, and the San Diego County Medical Society.
