This is an example of a female patient who was born with marked pinching, or collapse, of her right nostril rim and tip region. You can see from her photos just how abnormal the right nostril is with significantly asymmetrical shadowing easily seen. This is the type of deformity I often see in patients who had prior, failed surgery by a different plastic surgeon. Fortunately, I was able to reconstruct her nose with cartilage grafting technique and an open rhinoplasty approach to create a much more symmetrical tip with proper tip support.
